"Will go back for future restorations."I brought back my 67 Mustang for more work. This time my headliner was falling apart and my carpet was naturally beaten from 51 years of life. The carpet replacement and the new ceiling meant leaving my car for a few days. Upon return a few extra small things were fixed that I didn't know about and he didn't try to charge me extra or anything (some hidden interior lights, a missing letter on exterior). As my mustang was a gift from my grandmother, naturally it is hard for me to leave overnight, but here I feel comfortable here. Trust Rick will do what is best for the car. He is thorough, honest, and did amazing work on my car, bringing the interior back to life. My mustang had new car smell for a couple weeks after (probably the leather from ceiling). He also fixed a leak from under my glove box, apparently a common problem that arises from the heater core. Lot of work took a few days. Will go back for all future restorations 100%.

"Rick did a phenomenal job with my '73 Mach 1"Rick did a phenomenal job with my '73 Mach1. My father bought this car brand new out of the lot in 1973. I couldn't just take it to anyone, so after searching the net, I found R Mustangs. The car was garaged for 5 years before I had it towed to R Mustangs. Rick inspected it and gave me a run down of what was needed. He had the car running after a few hours of work, so I had Rick give me an estimate of a complete front and back suspension upgrade, brakes, brand new fuel tank and an Edelbrock carburetor. The work was done well, clean, and affordable. The car runs better than I can remember. It was well worth the time searching for the right shop. Thank you Rick!!!

"Rick oversaw the transformation of the car"I bought a 1967 Mustang convertible five years ago. With 140k original miles and having never left the Bay Area it was in good shape, given its age. Despite this, I wanted to make some improvements. Rick oversaw the transformation of the car: He installed a new four-barrel carb, intake manifold, headers, and dual exhaust. It was little too much stress on the old engine--I blew it within five months. Rick quickly found me a replacement and within a week I had my car back with a 302 cu in with custom cam. Next we conquered restoring the interior. Firstly and most obviously, Rick was capable of doing all this work. Secondly, he did it well--the car has required almost no repairs since the original work we did. Thirdly, his easy-going style made me feel comfortable. "R" Mustangs is definitely the best place to take your classic Mustang in San Francisco.

"He helped me put together a game plan"I inherited a 1965 Mustang from my grandpa, who was the original owner. About 2 years ago, I took it to Rick at R Mustangs - it had not been driven in years...it had the original shocks! I wanted to restore it, but I know nothing about cars, and I could not afford to do everything at once. Rick was amazing - he helped me put together a game plan for restoring it in stages. He suggested that the first order of business was to make the car safe to drive. He did the work on the engine/brakes 2 years ago, and the car runs great. When I have had small problems, I've stopped by and he's repaired them, free of charge. I am now in the process of working with Rick to restore the interior. He knows everything there is to know about Mustangs, and he prices the work fairly and honestly. He always provides estimates in advance and suggests various levels of upgrades, what is essential, and what is optional. My grandpa would be very happy knowing his car is in such great hands!

"Rick went above and beyond"Can't say enough about how awesome Rick was to work with. I contacted him with an odd request: I wanted to surprise my husband by having his 66 Mustang shipped up from LA and wanted to have Rick do the work on the car. Rick went above and beyond helping me to pull off a successful surprise.
He did an amazing job getting the car road-ready and was easy to communicate with through the whole process. His prices were reasonable and the quality of his work was top-notch. The only place to take your Mustang in the Bay Area. Jennifer B, Orinda, CA
